Before installation

PHASE 1

Correctly measure the dimensions of the room you want to cover in order to order the correct quantity of rolls of rubber flooring.

The installation

PHASE 2

Clean flat: Make sure the garage floor is perfectly clean and dry.
Level the surface if there are any lumps of cement, small bumps or depressions that could disturb the installation of the rubber flooring.

PHASE 3

Start unrolling one roll of rubber flooring at a time, starting from the front and moving towards the inside of the room.

Using a broom, remove any air bubbles that have formed under the carpet by pushing them outwards.

PHASE 4

When the shape of the room is a little complex or multiple rolls are needed, it is necessary to cut and join multiple pieces of rubber flooring.
To do this operation it is possible to overlap the 2 parts of the roll, or glue the joints together.

If you decide to overlap the 2 parts of rubber flooring, keep the first layer of carpet on the ground and spread the second roll, overlapping it for at least 5 -15 cm.
If, however, you prefer to glue the joints of the rubber flooring together, it is necessary to match the 2 edges perfectly.
After placing the 2 rolls on the ground, fold the edges in order to clean the surface and, equipped with adhesive tape approximately 10 cm high, begin to apply it along the entire length of the first roll, taking care to leave approximately 5 cm exposed. of tape for the second.
Reposition the edge of the first roll on the ground and then fold the second edge too, carefully aligning it, being careful not to pull too much on the adhesive tape or the carpet.

PHASE 5

Arrange corners and edges: make sure the rubber flooring is positioned correctly, without creases.
Using scissors or a cutter, follow the perimeter of the space. It is advisable to always maintain a small gap of approximately 5 mm with the walls to allow for any expansion and reduction of the rubber over time.

PHASE 6

Fixing (optional): now that the rubber flooring has been positioned correctly and has no wrinkles or wrinkles, if deemed necessary, you can proceed with fixing the carpet to the ground by applying double-sided insulating tape or spray adhesive glue along the entire length the perimeter in order to guarantee maximum adhesion.
